We all like to sleep in our own beds, and our pets feel the same. We are happy to accept clean and safe bedding from home to help them settle in, but would also recommend that you don’t bring anything that is particularly valuable – it may not make it home!
Some pets have favourite toys, etc, that they are particularly attached to, and we are happy to accept these for sole use by your pet. Once again, if it is irreplaceable, please leave it at home and bring along a Nearly Favourite.
An almost inescapable consequence of your pet being away from home and being served different food is that it upsets their tummy. We always recommend they are kept on their home food and have plenty of room to store sufficient provisions in a dedicated cupboard in our Kennel Kitchen.
Please don’t forget to pack their proof of vaccination or Certificate of Titre Test – without it, we will not be able to accept them.
We recommend all pets are fully insured for the duration of their stay with us.
We would also advise they are up-to-date with their worm and flea treatments.
There will be various bits of paperwork to complete for your pet’s stay. We do not judge, so please be honest and open about your pet’s health, behaviour, likes and dislikes. We appreciate every pet is different and the more information we have about them the better it allows us to look after them as an individual. If you would like to discuss any ongoing medical conditions, etc, then please give us a call for a chat.
We have secure parking on site, but would ask that you, the Pet Parents, make your way to Reception, initially leaving our guests in the car. We will complete any necessary paperwork (including checking their vaccination status), take any outstanding payment, and show you where your pet will be staying. We will help you bring in their bedding, etc, and ensure everything is in place before we bring them into their suite. We’ll offer you the opportunity to give them a toilet break in our secure exercise area (extra poo bags available if necessary), and then settle them into their new environment with their familiar things from home.
We will always welcome a heads-up about your preferred pickup time (please check our terms and conditions for guidance).
This allows us to manage any food intake to avoid upsets in the car on the way home, or simply to ensure all pawsonal belongings are collected and ready for going home.
We regret we cannot arrange out-of-hours collections, unless in exceptional circumstances.
